The rules for using Outstanding Tiny Desk AI: parody-only use, photo permission, credits and payments.

Acceptance of terms

By using Outstanding Tiny Desk AI ("the service", "we"), you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

What the service does

Outstanding Tiny Desk AI is an independent fan tool that makes AI parody videos in the style of the Outstanding Tiny Desk meme. You upload a photo for the lead singer and, optionally, a photo for the sax player. The service generates a short vertical video using a fixed template with the "Outstanding" set; the keys player and the back row are AI musicians.

Videos are AI-generated. They look like the people in your photos, not perfect copies, and faces, timing and details can vary from video to video. Example videos on the site show the trend and the template; they don't guarantee any particular result.

Not affiliated with NPR or the artists

The service is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to NPR, NPR Music's Tiny Desk Concerts, Charlie Wilson, The Gap Band, or any team, school, league, player or coach. "Tiny Desk" is a trademark of NPR. All names and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe the trend.

Who can use it

You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account and buy credits. You are responsible for your account and everything done with it. Tell us right away if you think someone else is using it.

Your photos and permission

Only upload photos you have the right to use. That means photos of yourself, or of adults who have agreed to appear in the video. Don't upload photos of children.

Public figures appear in the trend, and parody is the point. Keep it that way:

  • Don't present a video as real or as something the person actually did.
  • Don't use videos in ads, endorsements, sponsored posts or anything commercial.
  • Don't use videos to harass, bully, defame or sexualize anyone.
  • Don't use videos to deceive people, impersonate someone or commit fraud.
  • Label your posts as AI-generated where the platform allows it.

You keep any rights you already have in your photos. You give us and our processing providers permission to use them only to make the videos you request.

The song and the template

The "Outstanding" audio and the original performance belong to their rights holders, and we don't license them to you. Videos are for personal, non-commercial fun. Platforms such as TikTok or Instagram may mute or remove audio; that's their decision.

Acceptable use

You agree not to break the law, infringe anyone's rights, try to access accounts or systems that aren't yours, overload or disrupt the service, scrape it, or resell its output. We may refuse requests or remove videos that break these Terms.

Credits and payments

  • Videos are paid for with credits. One video uses 10 credits.
  • Credits come in one-time packs: 1 video for $8.90, 3 videos for $19.90 and 5 videos for $29.90. There are no subscriptions and no free renders.
  • Credits never expire, have no cash value and can't be transferred.
  • If a video fails, the credits for it go back to your account automatically.
  • Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

Prices are shown before you pay. Payments are processed by our payment provider.

Takedowns

If you're a rights holder, or a person shown in a video who didn't want it made, see our DMCA & takedown page. We may close the accounts of users who repeatedly break these Terms or infringe others' rights.

Service availability

We try to keep the service running, but generation can be slow, paused or unavailable at times, for example while a provider is down or the service is being updated.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is." To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for how you or others use the videos. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Termination

You can stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms. To close your account, email support@outstandingtinydeskai.video.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, tell you through the service. Continuing to use the service means you accept the updated Terms.
